When the queen of bachelorette planning herself, Heather Praun, founder of The Bach Boss, a bachelorette planning service, reached out to me I was immediately intrigued. I loved the idea of having someone plan out the bachelorette party from decor to itinerary. Not only does it save the MOH from major stress, but the bride can be guaranteed to have a well-planned and beautiful few days.

I’ve been on 3 bach’s and all were well planned, but I can see how one would easily go wrong. If the itinerary isn’t full enough or is too full, the attendees will end up bored or exhausted, and it’s kind of hard to predict where this perfect balance is if it’s your first one or two you’ve ever planned. I also think there’s just so much work involved, that if your MOH is also a hardworking-boss-babe, she’s not going to have the time. She’ll make it, but that just means she’ll be worn out before it even begins.

Whether hiring The Bach Boss is feasible for you or not, Heather certainly has great advice for planning a bachelorette, and I’m so thankful she shared it with us!

How did you come up with this genius idea?

My friends were all getting married at the same time and all of us were in each others weddings. We are all super busy with planning our own weddings, working full time, and trying to help plan each others events so I decided to launch a service that would help brides, bridesmaids, and friends in our similar situation. There is so much involved when planning a bachelorette or bachelor party that we all do not really understand how much work really goes into making this weekend perfect and I am here to help the group with whatever they need help with!

What are some great locations for people to have their bachelorettes in 2018?

Some great locations are New Orleans, Florida, Cancun, and Nashville.

What is your favorite bachelorette theme right now?

My favorite bachelorette theme right now is the flamingo/tropical vibe.

What kind of activities, games, etc. do you think make a bachelorette even more fun?

I like setting up a great photo booth or back drop for the group-that way they can use that as the main stage where they can take all of their pictures. I also love sending the parties to private work out classes-yoga, pilates, strip tease, etc. How well do you know the bride, porn or polish, and scavenger hunts are also classic games for the weekend!

Any bachelorette party trends that you’re loving right now?

I love balloons!! I love balloon filled rooms, balloon arch ways for when you enter the destination, balloon backdrops for a bar (if you are staying at a house), I also love spelling out the hashtag in giant balloons! I also love creating the balloon decor for my parties! I also love the wig party trend. It is so much fun for the group to get dressed up and to throw on a colorful wig.

What’s the #1 thing you’d recommend to people planning a bach?

Book your hotel or villa accommodations early! Start planning at least six months in advance and check to see what is going on in the destination you are planning.
